The Indian Block Company

Part of the joyful and energetic Colouricious family the The Indian Block Company teach you all about printing your own textiles with the lovely hand-carved wooden blocks they sell. We discovered them when we found out that they recommend our very popular brand of textile paints by Vallejo.

They even make custom wooden printing blocks: you can send in your designs and they will turn them into wooden printing blocks, perfect for printing your own unique fabric and papers.

A pile of compliments!

We got loads of complimentary emails over the weekend about our website and I wanted to share a few:

–Clear instructions. Quick and easy to use. Items easy to find. Good descriptions of items. Could find everything I wanted so appears to fulfil my requirements. Should I not be able to find an item in the future I will let you know. -Mary

–Hello, I’ve only found out about your company today after going on a watercolour course, the tutor of which recommended you. I have been able to find exactly what I wanted and order it within ten minutes! Fantastic service. Excellent website – I’m really impressed. Thanks. -Pete

–I think that your web site is a pleasure to trawl through and to operate. -Sue

–It’s the only web site that I NEVER have any difficulty with, carry on the good work, please don’t change the website, it’s great. -Sian

–Great website easy to navigate through thanks. -Gran

–Hello – In the past we have always ordered by telephone and the service was excellent. I thought I would try on the internet this time and was extremely surprised how big the website is and containing so many items not in the catalogue. It is a good site to browse through and the registering and payment section was easy to use. I still like to see the catalogue so please still send it to me (thanks), but when I have more time to browse I enjoy looking at your internet site. Kind regards -Daphne

Thanks everyone!

Friendly and knowledgeable staff

Lovely compliments from Lynsey:
“I found the website very easy and straightforward to navigate, and going backwards and forwards to different pages was quick and easy, even on my old computer, which is very slow. I also really appreciate the fact that you carry such comprehensive stock of the particular item I was looking for, (Unison Pastels). No other website I looked at held such a good stock, and their prices were generally higher. (I only hope now that the things I ordered are actually in stock, and delivery is fairly fast).

Even when I inadvertently deleted the page, when I got it back again, my order was still there. It was easy to delete an item from the basket, although the request of ‘what do you want to do?’ made sure I didn’t delete something by accident. After the websites that stick and will not let me navigate from one page to another except at a snail’s pace, if ever, it was a pleasure to use.

Though not strictly a comment about the website, when I phoned to check on whether there was a white in the set of 36, the girl I spoke to was friendly, polite and knowledgeable.”
Kind regards,
Lynsey

Thank you very much Lynsey!

Thank you Jen!

Feedback from the web site

The web site is excellent – find your catalogue very helpful also – spend a fair amount of time studying it. Relatively new to art and find the supplies much cheaper from you than buying in the stores – also you do smaller quantities which is helpful when finding your way through the various mediums. Delivery is also excellent.
