Artists Sharing:
I think this is the heart of this blog. We would love to show a picture of your artwork on the blog, along with a bit about you and the making of the artwork, and any techniques or advice you would like to share about how you made the art. All levels are welcome. Be a guest artist!
Please email Jackson’s to let me know you would be interested and I will send you a little questionnaire, that you can fill out as much as you want of. I will also let you know the sizes of images to send. Then I will post your pictures and information on the blog. People will be able to respond, asking questions or sharing their own experiences, using the comments facility.
Thanks!

I would like to submit a post regarding the Jacksons Eco Watercolour Paper. I have a technical query that I hope other customers and users of the paper may be able to reply to.
I enjoy using Jacksons Eco Watercolour Paper 100% Cotton 200lb/425gsm, but it is a problem for me to clearly identify the correct side to use. From experience I have found one side to be more suitable to the other, and there is no clear watermark such as on a Saunders paper.
If you can forward this concern onto the blog I would look forward to hearing other people’s experience.
Thankyou
The best place I found to shop in Europe and England, even compared to the USA where I live!!!!!
There are some excellent prices in quite some items that save quite a few dollars!!!!!!
After I finish my shopping spree within a couple of months(I don’t want Jackson’s to run out of items because I spread the word in the USA yet!),I’ll let know US artists via Facebook,a few blogs and a couple of artists forums of the savings in quite a few items that offer Jackson’s.
I’ll post them here later, after shopping, but is enough to say that I can save over $200.00 easily in just a few items I will purchase.
There is the common impression that in the USA you save money in artist supplies, and up to a point is true,in some items, and the variety is quite good, but in other items I was surprised to find a saving of $68.00 in just two of them!
Jackson’s prices are the best in England, the variety of supplies is excellent and the customer service is second to none!
My hat off to Louise in particular. This lady will go the extra mile to satisfy the customer and will stand my demanding customer behavior. She will set aside that particular item for you, make sure is ordered if is not in stock for when you’re ready to order. You name it…
Louise,you deserve a medal!
And all the customer representatives that have put with my Cuban-American accent, please,my apologies.I try to do my best!
Thanks for all the kind words Robert!
I am trying to locate a watercolour paint known as ‘SHADOW’.
Can you please advise?
Hi Ron
There are a few possibilities: Daler used to do one but have stopped.
Daniel Smith is one of our highest quality ranges and they do a Shadow Violet :

Some artists also use Neutral Tint in their favourite brand :

I hope this helps.
