Made to Measure Stretcher Bars
It is great to finally have some stretcher bars that can be cut to any length, inch or cm., in deep or standard depth profiles. They are made using a bevelled moulding and then assembled with dovetail joiners like our Easy Assemble Framing.

But their uses are somewhat limited, they are not for all purposes. Since they do not have cross bars or corner wedges they are only suitable for small scale paintings (up to 24 inches). They are great to stretch a painting that was sent rolled up or digitally printed canvas. They will also work well for stretching a canvas to paint on, but keep it small!

Because they are cut to exact measurements we couldn’t set up the ordering on-line so these are only available on the phone.

New Mouldings
Your framing choices have expanded with Jackson’s Framing. We now stock six new styles of mouldings that each are available in a range of colours for 16 new selections.

Two of the moulding styles, the FC113 and the FC114 are two-way frames. Meaning that depending if you cut and assemble them on their backs or on their sides they have a different profile. When you order these you ask for “style A” or “style B”. You can see them on page 123 of our current catalogue. For those who are fans of the FC1047 and 1048 these are similar but come finished in colours.

New Ready Made Frames
There are also five new styles of ready-made frames including box frames in a variety of colours or unfinished, unfinished plain, clip frames and a traditional mahogany with a gold edge. All come with a hanger and backing board and are glazed in UV filtered styrene. Some styles come with a pre-cut mount or a lined backing board. Please see the individual items for the complete descriptions.

The acrylic glazing is very attractive and to keep it this way throughout shipping it has a layer of protective film on both sides that you will need to peel off before you use the frame. So don’t be shocked if the glazing looks odd at first!
