Jackson’s Akoya Brushes
We are very proud of our own new range of high-end white synthetic hog brushes for oil or acrylic painting. These attractive brushes are made with very high quality Japanese hairs and have great spring. They are durable brushes which will last longer than a hog brush and the bristles will not break off like hog bristles often do. For me personally to later find a bristle dried in my painting is particularly irritating.
Unfortunately there was a printing error in our recent catalogue and the text for the Akoya was replaced by a copy of the text for the black hog brushes listed right above them. While the black hogs might be our most popular brush it still isn’t fair that the Akoya has been so overshadowed! It is a lovely brush and you may find that it works particularly well if you paint with with water-soluble oil colours.
